Fire Painter

David has been working with fire as an art medium since 1993 and he has been painting with fire since 1997.

David's team won first prize in the Pacific Northwest Fire Sculpture Competition in 2000. He along with Astrid Larsen and Leah Gerrard won an award for the 'Best Secret Ignition' at tne International Fire Sculpture Competition in Ischgl, Austria in 2001.

David is a founding member of Firedrake—the group who first started working with fire as art in Seattle. The Cirque De Flambé grew out of this core group.

David has a Master of Fine Arts degree and draws all the logos, illustrations and graphic art for the Cirque De Flambé.
